Out of the city for a week of early summer with Margery and Claudia in Saint-John, the US Virgin Island's most simpatico. We stayed at Maho Bay Resort, favorite of regulars Margery and Candi. The network of boardwalks, the wooden huts, the more swanky resorts around, straightforward staff and low-maintenance barefoot crowd inevitably bring Fire Island to mind - Maho Bay is a vertical Lonelyville!
